Valve blocks

Manufacturing of valve blocks

  • LALMEK manufactures module blocks for many different types of valves. A range of blocks ca be seen here.

  • The picture show module blocks suited for NG6 and NG10 valves, for cartridge valves and a separate block for the pressure releif valve.

  • Other terms for valve blocks: subplates, connection plates, stackabel subplates, stackable connection plates.

LALMEK manufactures valve blocks in multiple-operation machines with five axes. In-house manufacturing enables us to offer a greater variety of components and even the ability to customise components to your specifications. Small changes to existing blocks are possible, even on a single block.

The multiple-operation machines with five axes and automatic material feeder enables machining on 6 faces eliminating manual changes. The material is clamped in the fourth axe and can be manouvered for machining. A fifth ax grips the component for machining of the last two faces. Small tolerances in relation to each machined side can be achieved in this way.

Solid aluminium bars are used in production, therefore there is no risk of leakage through pores, which is a risk when die-casting.

Our method of manufacture makes us very competitive not only on larger but also smaller series. This is especially so when manufacturing a component that requires machining on several faces. Our method of manufacturing valve blocks with many variations is cost-effective which makes smaller series economically viable.

We have the capacity and resources to quote and custom bulid hydraulic block from your description. We even undertake sub-contracting work using customer drawings and specifications to manufacture components. We are able to manufacture a complete block with different valves from a function description or only produce a component from drawing.

Valve Block system

  • Modules 1-10 block

  • NG 6 hole pattern (Cetop 3, ISO 4401)

  • Parallel and serial blocks

  • Ports with G3/8" threads

  • Sub-plate with pilot-controlled pressure releif valve.
Dial with graduated scale for easy pressure adjustment.

  • Manufactured in anodised aluminium

  • Pressure range 40-250 bar

  • Options: Inductive sensor that gives an electrical signal when the pressure releif valve opens

Sub-plate with pilot-controlled pressure releif valve. Dial with graduated scale for easy pressure adjustment. There is one port for manometer and one for an inductive sensor (240VAC or 24VDC). the sensor gives an electrical signal each time the pressure releif valve opens. A signal is given when one or more rams reach the end of the stroke, mechanical stop or set pressure. A PLC unit can be used to control several functions by receiving signals from the sensor.

A sensor can replace pressure switches. The pressure releif valve activates the sensor. Therefore a minimal hysteresis is obtained, i.e the difference between opening and closing pressure. There is little risk in setting the pressure incorrectly. The risk is by far greater when setting the association between the pressure switch and pressure releif valve.

Pressure adjustment is simplified with the scaled dial on the pressure releif valve. It is easy to quickly adjust pressure settings for different sequences e.g on a press, even when a temporary pressure peak is required. If an adjustment to system pressure is complicated there is a risk that system pressure will always be set higher than necessary which will lead to undue wear of components in the system.

A sensor can also be used as a counter e.g a signal that signifies time for a control measurement or tool change. A simple and easy method to reach better product quality.

Module blocks are available for parallel and serial coupling and can be combined as required.
